It is something I know to exist, have no reason to doubt it, and now have no fear of being wrong about it, to love and feel deserving of love, that heart in you. It’s been my constant, and even if there’s ever been a point where you’ve had the (mostly) universally experienced, built-in human instinct of terror, of irrationally fearing its not there, and never was there at any point in your life, feel that stable ground, and just ground with it. Lay down and cry if you need to. What you feel is “neurotic”, but also a deeply normal response to an even deeper existential terror, that one is actually a monster without soul. That fear, the trigger of tripping and making a mistake that hurts someone: that is all you need to know, to know that part of you is solid and whole, and you have absolutely nothing to fear at all. It’s okay to be wrong, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Even if that was the *one and only* thing I knew to be right.
