Making of Whimzy 🐇
As the illusionist in Harlich's circus, a 20 year old Ozwalt enjoyed a taboo affair with the wife of one of the Magog Kritarchy's ruling judges, Lily.
The Judge had taken his wife to see a show at the circus. Lily soon became a regular attendee, drawn to Ozwalt's performances. To Ozwalt, the Judge, whom he held no respect for, was merely a symbol of empty authority. Seeing Lily as little more than a trophy wife, he felt it fitting to pass his own judgment on who she truly belonged to.
Ozwalt and Lily met in secret, performing private "shows" for one another: mock, titillating plays that often ended in intimacy. In these performances, Ozwalt took on the role of Lily's assistant, a character named "Whimzy", even wearing women's bunny suits to assist his mistress in their 'magic shows'.
Ozwalt escaped from Magog and spent many years away from his old life. He then returned to Magog under the facade of Waltz and built The Dark Dream Theater. But he was not the same man he once was, twisted and obsessed with visions of grandeur.
After a failure to create his own dream world, the facade of Waltz and the one known as Ozwalt split, Waltz shedding into both Wonder and Whimzy and attaching themselves to Astalon and Lily respectively.
Rise of the White Queen ♕
Lily, a 34 year old Swan-may from the Fairlands, once lived among glittering ponds and rolling meadows. In her youth, she was inseparable from Gloriana, her closest friend and partner in mischief. Together, they enacted their will upon others, sometimes playful, sometimes cruel. Gloriana was the dominant driving force and she was ambitious. She spoke of ancient, forbidden magic and a plan to overthrow the Fairy King, reshaping the Fairlands through pure force of will.
The King eventually took notice. His order was swift: the two must be stopped and punished. Forced to flee, Lily and Gloriana split apart. Years later, Lily reemerged far from home in the city of Magog, as a celebrated singer captivating audiences with her voice.
Only much later would she learn the truth: Gloriana had succeeded. The Fairlands had been changed beyond recognition, a land of chaotic beauty dancing to the whim of the new Fairy Queen. The ancient magic had worked.
Meanwhile, Lily continued forward. She married a Judge of the Magog Kritarchy, a man of status, but one she did not love. It was through the Judge that she encountered Ozwalt, a young illusionist at Harlich’s circus, and soon their secret affair began.
Ozwalt eventually disappeared, fleeing Magog and his past. Years passed, he returned under a new name: Waltz. He built the Dark Dream Theater, a place where fantasy could become real. Drawn once again to ambition, Lily joined him.
As they grew close and married, she discovered a startling truth: Waltz was attempting what Gloriana had done, using the same ancient magic to create a new world of Wonder. Whether fate or coincidence, Lily saw the pattern repeating. This time, she chose not to remain in someone else’s shadow.
She didn’t plan to betray Waltz. In her eyes, she was helping him. She saw how the dream burdened him, how he unraveled under pressure. Perhaps, she thought, he would be happier if he could rest, if he could become Whimzy again and let her lead.
When Waltz’s attempt at creating his dream world collapsed, Lily seized her moment. She captured a surviving fragment for herself. Her patience had been rewarded.
Now, the Dark Dream Theater begins anew, not under Waltz, but under the White Queen. At her side stands her White Rabbit, Whimzy. Together, they will shape a new dream, one that belongs to her.

Other notes: Their toony appearance is due to the nature of these "Wonder Worlds" we keep mentioning. Simply, they are pocket dimensions where the creator can bend reality to their will, this is what Waltz is attempting to create. And with enough push, these dreams can even seep into the real world and overtake it, that's what Gloriana did.
Each "dream" is different.
🧚♀️Gloriana made a world full of whimsy, beauty and chaos. It's a world ruled by mischievous fairies, where riddles and contracts dictate your fate. All who enter will inevitably let down their guard and be transformed into something else. The Fairy Queen is especially prone to altering the appearance of others for the smallest of reasons, even her own loyal subjects.
🎭 Waltz's dream expands his theater and his stories become reality, creating an ideal world of adventure for Honey to explore and lose herself in. It's a little TOO fun though... an endless amusement park of starry wonder.
🪄 Lily's dream is similar to Waltz's, but it's more... silly. More toony. Lily never was a writer, her stories are more fit for children. In that way, her world is simple. And perhaps that's why it's also dangerous, offering people a simple life free of stress, under her rule. If you tumble down the rabbit hole, you may never return.
