Battle Order Financials: Jan to Sep 2023

Here is a summary of my main income sources for 2023 so far. I'm not going to collate my expenses for now because it's sort of spread out but expenses include money spent on books/manuals/ebook subscription sites, music licensing services, monthly Adobe subscription, Shopify subscription for the store, payments to Discord, charitable contributions in Battle Order's name (not an actual business expense) and other misc things.

Overall, I'm going to make quite a bit less money in 2023 than 2022 because I'm taking fewer sponsors and have had fewer hit videos, but I'm doing fine. There's also more general trends of less ad revenue in general. I want to pivot away from sponsors (or at least be more picky) and towards more merch. Although a years of merch sales would probably be equivalent to a single sponsored video.

Income Summary (Jan-Sep 2023): Total of about $33,625, not including expenses (except for merch)

Youtube Ads - $17,300

Sponsors - $3,850

Patreon - $10,775

Shopify - $1,700
