Graphic: US 1st Multi-Domain Task Force
Added 2024-04-23 20:55:59 +0000 UTCA graphic of what I could find on the US Army's 1st Multidomain Task Force aligned to the Indo-Pacific. This is basically a long-range fires unit (from the PrSM, the ATACMS replacement, to LRHW which is basicallya an intermediate range ballistic missile) with its own sensor/intel/effects battalion and, in the future, an IFPC battalion for local air defense.
Note this graphic is just what I could find written publicly, it may be incomplete. For example, I think it's likely that the ADA Bn may have a Maintenance Company, but couldn't find anything written about it. I also think it's likely the ADA Bn is organized as personnel only with no equipment, because they were meant to receive Iron Dome (IDDS-A) in 2023 from two batteries at Fort Bliss but the US said it was sending those to Israel.

A few years ago, back when the MDTF was just a 2x9 HIMARS battalion and M-SHORAD/Avenger ADA Bn, there was a Gray Eagle Company in the objective TO&E. I don't know if that's still intended in the future, because there are a limited number of Gray Eagle Companies in the army. But some elements in the MDEB have a UAS capability (although I'm not sure what system) as well as high-altitude balloon sensors.

2024-04-23 21:06:41 +0000 UTCWhat of unmanned assets such as drones? I’m sure every MDTF would benefit from UAVs but I can see the 1st MDTF using unmanned aquatic drones given its Pacific focus.
