For this style I don't think it's too important. Idle animations could add a bit(I mean- they come included in-engine anyway don't they?..).. But not everything needs it. If you wanted to add many actual hscene animations you would then have to deal with other issues like inevitable clipping and awkwardness- whereas taking a bit of extra time on every CG to make it natural and capture the best parts- creating a storyboard type deal would serve better.
