Well, I'm back at it! I've been away from the studio since Thursday (actually, I didn't write anything new for about a week). It was nice to step away for a couple of days, to clear my head, but the only problem with doing that is a feel like I lost some writing momentum. If you are in the Discord server, you may have seen me post about this yesterday. It was an uphill battle getting something finished for today, but I did it!
I wanted to continue with my whole "Elemental Temple" theme I've had recently. But in the process of this one, I had to rewrite some sections. I realized towards the end I had leaned waay too heavy into the trope of "Earth/desert area = Middle Eastern style music."
This approach is fine, and it's certainly effective, but I wanted to tone it down a tad, just to not be so cliche. One day, maybe I'll write a desert theme with sleigh bells....that'll show em! Considering it still has that "sound" to it, should let you know just how heavy handed I was with the first version haha!
