When I was younger, I would always get super hyped when a game had an epic opening cutscene. Final Fantasy VI in particular, really did a great job in this department.
These opening cutscenes were great for introducing the world players were about to jump in to, setting up character relationships, and just creating intrigue in general. Naturally a key element to these scenes was the music.
So with this song, I kept all of this in mind. Create a song that would set the tone while the players learn about how the world was created by [x] number of Gods. Or how there was an evil menace that ravaged the world hundreds of years ago until some Warriors of Light put a stop to his reign. Or example #3....you get what I'm saying. :D
