Happy Tuesday Party Members!
Every so often I get a request to create a variation on one of my own songs. I really should do this kind of thing more often, because:
1) It's a good exercise to take an existing melody and re-imagine it in a different context.
2) It increases the value of the existing songs, as now there is a sense of leitmotif happening across the archives.
3) It's usually really fun!
So as you probably figured out by now, today's song is one of those cases.
Waaay back in the Healer archives (2021-2nd Half) there is a track called "Hope and Despair." The request was to take this melody and apply it to an anti-hero type of scene. While the opening and outro sections are basically their own things, the original melody can be heard between 15s and 44s.
Anyway, I really like how this turned out. Plus I picked up a couple new techniques along the way!
As always, thanks so much for your support! I hope you enjoy the tune, and you have a great week!
