Royalty Free Music - Clashing Forces (Boss Fight)

Happy Friday Party Members!

When I sat down to write yesterday, I initially thought "It's been a while since I've done a 16-Bit sci-fi tune, why don't I try that?" You'll hear the elements of that direction in the opening bass line.

What actually ended up happening (as the title gives away) is a boss fight tune emerged. And as I wrote it I realized it really HAD been a long time since I had done any battle music! At least in this style. What was it, like, November?? October??? I may be forgetting some along the way. Things start to blur together after a while. :D

Usually fight tunes like this can be a bit of an undertaking, but I was fortunate enough yesterday to have things go really smoothly. That's always nice for a change haha!

As always, thanks so much for your support. Couldn't do this without you guys. Enjoy the tune and have a great weekend!

-Bert

Ah that's cool man! To me it feels like an end game boss, maybe not the final-final boss but one of those encounters you'd hit in the final dungeon that could almost be justified as the final boss itself. Like Jenova or something. But as always, it's totally up to you guys how you want to use it! :D

This sounds like less of a boss fight theme and more of a racing track or escape from sci-fi prison kind of track to me. It has that "rush" or "hurry" feeling to it, but it doesnt really sound like a battle kind of theme song to me... Not sure how to best explain it. Either way, I like it. Its very unique though since it has old-school sci-fi themes. I could see this used in one of the Star Ocean games where you gotta escape from an enemy ship that is on self-destruct.
