So yesterday was one of those mornings where I woke up at 5AM and was just absolutely wired. I don't normally get up that early, but I knew right away that sleep time was done. There was no going back in that moment. So I made a big cup of coffee, did my morning reading, and got to work.
Funny enough, the tune I ended up writing was a very dreamy village theme, partially inspired by...you guessed it, Nights Into Dreams. Anyone remember that game?
Back when I was a kid, that game was like an enigma. I played it several times at a kiosk in the mall, and had NO IDEA what I was supposed to do. But I wanted to figure it out so bad because the game looked amazing. It was definitely a "Graphics can't get much better than this," kind of game for me at the time. It actually came out a couple months prior to Mario 64, if you didn't know! That's just a fun little factoid for ya.
