My next video, CD collecting and where I've been.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! 

I wanted to give you an update on the next video and talk about some random things I’ve been into lately that might also turn into possible videos! 

I am so sorry for the lack of content lately. Life hasn’t been leaving me with much energy to work on videos and it just really sucks. But I’m trying my best to get back into the regular swing of making content so if you’re still here, thank you. You are truly appreciated and I really do mean it.

The next video:

My next Erin Plays video will be a dive into the various NES games that were released by Color Dreams. I know Wisdom Tree has been talked about like crazy, but I feel like the Color Dreams part of the brand is left in the shadows (I mean, that’s not necessarily a bad thing lol.) So since I just love covering "bad" video games, I’ve been working on a script and capturing footage of all things Color Dreams and I’ll be filming that soon. I’m really enjoying working on this script so I don’t want to rush it because I feel like it could turn out to be one of my favorite videos! I’ve been meaning to do this video for YEARS actually, so it’s been a long time coming. 

Are CD's back!?:

I have another thing I want to mention. As you probably know by now, I’m a fan of physical media and I’ve always been one of those people especially when it comes to my favorite games and music. A few years ago I got back into collecting vinyl records but recently I’ve gotten back into collecting CDs! I never got rid of my CD collection once streaming took off, so it’s kind of like I just picked up where I left off. Yeah, I’ve purchased CD’s very sporadically over the past 10 or so years but lately I’ve found myself hunting for them more. I think it’s because I’m tired of not physically owning albums I find myself coming back to again and again. I don’t like depending on Spotify/streaming to hopefully always have it. And vinyl records are awesome, but they can be pretty pricey. While CD’s are still fairly cheap and I don’t feel as β€œguilty” about spending the money. 

So all that being said, I kind of want to make a video talking about my CD collection and why I’m back into collecting them. I know I made a video about a tiny fraction of my collection a while back for Patreon, but I’d like to do a more concise/fleshed out one. I don’t know if that will be on Erin Plays or Erin Plays Extras, but (at least in theory) it sounds like a fun idea for me. Feel free to share your thoughts on this as well! 

What I’ve been up to:

I talked about this on stream, on twitter (or, x, whatever you want to call it) and on Blue Sky but in case you didn’t know, I had to get gum grafting surgery which didn’t allow me to be on camera for a couple of weeks because you could see my stitches and it would just look weird lol. If you want to hear the gross details, they took skin from the roof of my mouth and put it where some of my gums were receding. It’s not just cosmetic (although it DOES look a lot better!) but I actually needed this to be done since having nerves of your teeth exposed feels really gross and it could lead to worse things so I had to take care of that lol. I still have one more surgery to go but that wont be until later in the year. Why did my gums recede? I brushed too hard. Don’t brush too hard or else you’ll end up like me! (I know a gum graft isn’t a major deal. Just telling you guys so you know one of the reasons why videos have been delayed.)
