As most of you might already know, this role ultimately went to Sonic the Hedgehog, as a nod to his long-standing (but friendly) rivalry with Super Mario. Alas, Luigi was saved to fight another day, potentially as another character in the Smash Wars universe. Had I used him, this is what he would have looked like.
