My Hero Episode 4 Poll

QUESTION - Do you think (non manga readers) that deku having to go at 1,000,000% will negetively affect his body in a severe way, or with this training being about straining your quirks do you think deku will be able to control it/ gain new abilities from it?

Comments

You realize it wasnt actually a 1m%? Just deku pumping himself up for another 100%. I real 1m% wouldve probably blown the planet away lol

Bakugo's Left Guantlet

like take for example the plus ultra fight, the fight itself wasn't that long but the whole thing was built to it, every piece of story built to it and the fight was incredible because of the weight, the cost, the sheer danger and stakes everyone felt, but with kota it's so early theres next to no build and there's no way deku is in shape to continue after, not to mention the sheer briefness of the fight itself! I couldn't get hyped for it, and for a show as awesome and well made as MHA that was disappointing.

I thought about this quite a bit as I watched this particular episode. MHA is my current #1 and this episode just disappointed me. It took me a bit to figure out why. It wasn't like characters hadn't gone past 100% before, but this particular example just wasn't done as well. I think I finally figured out why it disappointed me. First was the fact that it was just so ridiculously beyond. 1m %? seriously? as bonedaddy said, bullshit. Second however was the lack of weight for kota. I mean, was I the only one who felt it was underplayed? Yes Kota's life was in danger, but I found myself more impacted by Aizawa getting burned and the implications of a severed hand out in the field. It felt like so much was jammed into the episode they didn't give enough time to Deku and Kota's struggle. It should have had more time, more internal monologue and more emotional weight. It felt like it went like this. 1 kota in danger, 2 deku save, 3 killer killed parents and too strong, 4 deku losing, 5 1m% deus ex machine? was that just me or did it feel like that to others?

Yehh doesn’t seem more powerful at all but it’s well beyond even what would normally break his arm so there should be some major damage he won’t fully heal from for a while.. sure they said pushing their limits helps their quirk grow stronger and with that sure he might get stronger but that wasn’t pushing it that was going far far far beyond his limit no way he should walk away from it and be ok in the end like when he uses 100%

Tailzz

Kinda bullshit how that happened and the power comparison between 1.000.000 and All Might's normal hits, but whatever.
