2018-04-02 20:38:49 +0000 UTCThis show starts in what could be intepreted as WWI which took place in the real world between 1914-1918 but eventually transitions into WWII 1939-1945. You notice that technology and warfare advances pretty fast in this anime. Also: 10 000 meters up in the air is the altitude that most commercial airliners fly at so it's still far away from space.

A lot will be explained in the next few episodes lol you've probably seen episode two by now lol looking forward to the confused expression at the at the start of it. Also you haven't seen the show (another excellent and popular show to react to) but there is a poster for the anime Overlord in the background of the second episode.
