Ok first I don't think I need to add anything about your question as what everyone already said is what I think as well. I will point out that it took 2 years between seasons 3 to 4. The death of the voice actor as well as Covid were the 2 main reasons so I doubt there will be nearly as long as a break between 4 and 5. Now just because I am the type of guy that gets hung up on minor things I looked into and did some math about how long Kagayama had to rest since you asked in the video but I did find some of the average times interesting so I though I would share. First the average rally time in volleyball is only 4 to 6 seconds. The time between sets that you have is 3 minutes. So with a total of 16 points , scored, and not accounting on the time between serves as well as the changing of sides in the middle of the current set, would only be between 4 minutes and 4 seconds to 4 minutes and 36 seconds. Also the changing of the sides during a set only happens in beach volleyball. The reason why the teams even change sides is due to possible difference in lighting conditions (wind and weather are also reasons for beach)

just a quick correction that OVAs 1 and 2 are sort of... already passed by they would have fit between seasons 1 and 2 - 1 introduces Lev and 2 is showing the boys as they prepare for the Tokyo practice camp and study to pass the exams (it just adds a few scenes to the ones that were on the show) The OVA's that we are talking about the Land vs Air ones are basically 3 and 4 ( Riku vs Kuu and Boru no michi respectively) Please watch!!

His last recorded voice line in the series was the "Don't you dare look down, Volleyball is a sport where you're always looking up" line and to add to MelanieRS' comment its best to watch OVAs 1 and 2 of Haikyuu Land vs Air after Episode 10 of Season 3 ^_^

FYI this is the last episode with the Original Ukai voice actor. Unfortunately he died while recording for this series. Next episode it will be a new VA playing Coach Ukai. ((also will you let us know if you are going to be reacting the the OVAs that go between season 3 and 4? they are cannon and I know we would love to see your reactions!)

[No Spoilers here] There is definitely going to be a season 5. It's uncertain how many seasons Haikyuu will have but, as someone who's read and finished the manga, I'm assuming there might be three more seasons "max" plus a few important OVA's in between. It's not a show that stretches on to 200+ episodes. Season 4 definitely isn't the end of the journey, not by far. Season 5's release date is unannounced, Season 4 only just ended a few months ago, so personally, I'm expecting the 5th season to be out by the summer of this year or the spring of next year. Just some assumptions on my part.

I'm sure there is going to be a season 5 (nothing confirmed yet though) BUT the manga is done so I could see a season 6 but not really enough material for a season 7. That said, I'm all for them adding material if it's done well!!
