I mean the real Dazai eventually did succeed in commiting suicide which is so dark that the show treats it so funny... but also, yeah it suits his style of writing. This show inspired me to read a BUNCH of classical Japanese stories, and "No Longer Human" was one of my favorites!

Also, congrats on recognizing Kunikida's voice actor as Asahi! Since you mentioned the Miya twins so much, let me in on a secret! That is Atsumu's voice actor too! The ending is one of my favourite anime endings of all time. And just like the other comments, the character names are from actual writers and poets, and their powers are named after their literary works.

The "bubble" that comes in is supposed to be the type of paper writers would use back in the day to compose their books for publishing. There are a TON of these little nods to books and literary stuff in this show that is not explained ever, it's just for you to find and like if you are into Literature. :)
