The very first version of Kasko was melanistic with blue eyes, and I had this sketch of his mom calling him darling blackbird. I still wanted to keep the pet name. Maybe it's what her parents called her when she was little.
The mother's name isn't stated anywhere, but in my notes I've called her Maura.

Not in the comic at least. I haven't designed Kasko's father as he's just some buck with an abiguous relationship to Maura, and has no role to play in Kasko's story.
