One of my favourite maps from last year was my first attempt at drawing a map from a massive already established setting, the Sword Coast! It was a hugely popular map and I said at the time I would love to do the whole of the Faerûn at some point.

Until that time comes though, it would seem I’m just going to do small bits of the continent every now and then, and today I finished off the line art for the regions of Vaasa & Damara.
This is mostly in the top middle of the overall Faerûn continent and a relatively small area but with a very iconic feel and tone that for me resembles the area east of the Shire in Middle Earth. The bleak edges of slowly crumbling civilization and huge wilderness areas close to the cold northern expanses of the world.

In other news I made a post asking for some feedback and the results were very close to what I expected and I’ll be making a post talking about this very soon! The amount of love and excitement for the next year was amazing so thank you to everyone that took the time to respond! <3
