One of the things that blows me away about Aaron is that he engages with people who disagree with him. I have heard dozens of people (on his Call In) ask him the same damn stupid questions about Ukraine, and Aaron patiently and carefully explains his point of view. As to your specific comment, it is really, really fucking dumb to say Aaron “reflexively sides with Russia,” given the amount of times Aaron has addressed this very point. I admit it, I am super gay for the guy.

The only meaningful lesson I got in Israel was to call yourself “a Jew” with pride, as opposed to “Jewish”, which feeds into the notion that the word Jew on its own is offensive. Things can be described as Jewish, but people are Jews.

If you yourself were a critical thinker you wouldn't seriously be describing other people as "tankies" - you would be addressing the material argument and bringing up what Aaron actually gets wrong about Ukraine. (Which you'll really struggle to do, I'm afraid.) Also isn't it childish to think of "sides" here? Are we on Palestine's side like it's a fucking football match? You don't need to be on Russia's side to say the Ukrainian flag in bio lib position of continuing to fund the US Empire's proxy war at the expense of even more Ukrainian deaths is bad. If Greta is not speaking the actual truths about the war, but still has performative support (like her nonsense with the attempted colour revolution in Georgia), then she's not really supporting Ukrainian people.

I don't blame you for leaving Matt. As someone who lives on the east coast of Australia I've been impacted by fires up close and personal. It's something you truly don't understand until you've lived it. The atmosphere for hundreds of kilometres can be Impacted, and there will be lots of respiratory problems in the coming weeks.
