In this series, I’ll help you build a thriving city, starting with the modest bones of a small town and slowly growing it into a megalopolis! Along the way, we’ll explore the game’s mechanics and I’ll share tips and tricks I’ve learned from my time with the game. I’ll also share how I design cities based upon my experience as a real-life city planner. This is an ongoing series that we’ll also use to explore new DLCs and Content Creator Packs as they are introduced to the game.
In today’s video, we’ll cover how to make new growth feel logical, natural, and realistic by rapidly growing Newport from a town of around 10k people to a city with more than twice that population. We'll do this by following out cities needs, and developing in areas were we'd anticipate future growth to occur. Further, we'll build a couple of interchanges, and show you a few road building tips.
