What would you like to see?
Added 2018-08-23 08:49:49 +0000 UTCHey all! I'm working on videos and I'll have some available for you in the next few days. Also, in about 9 hours from now, I'll be having a livestream with Abubaker Siddik, the Muslim guy I made a bunch of videos about (cross your fingers that he actually shows up - he's a little nervous, I think.)
But for next month, I'd love some input: What sort of content would you, my patrons, like to see? Topics, specific videos to respond to, whatever you're into. I can always figure out stuff to do, but it's nice to know what you're really into so I have some guidance from my employers. Just leave a comment if you have a preference, and if you see one you agree with, like it or whatever it's called when you do that here.
Abubaker stream will be here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmEUdX-JP_k

I think you should take on the Gaia group!! There are a few free videos available on YouTube so you wont have to buy a subscription and they are crazy enough to make very enjoyable

2018-10-12 19:45:07 +0000 UTCRegarding the updates - the idea that some people think of you only as your persona just makes no sense to me. I mean, we're human fucking beings. How can we not SEE each other as such? Updates are important for other reasons, but the idea that they are necessary to humanize you to some viewers makes me that sad kind of angry.

2018-09-10 22:10:28 +0000 UTCAs long as you continue with update videos, I'd like to see a skit here and there. Perhaps keep them in separate episodes from debunks OR do more skits with isethoriginal on her channel. Her work already does reference to the process of production. A "Come over and help me choose a tie for my debunk of Depak Chopra; I want to make a good first impression" lead-in to give her an excuse to have you on her channel is what I'm imagining.

2018-09-10 22:04:12 +0000 UTCA video pro/anti Veganism would certainly draw a crowd. Seek to do an interview/colab with Stefan Molyneux (freedomainradio)?

2018-09-05 14:34:00 +0000 UTCThanks for the suggestions everyone - I'm seeing them, just not putting a like on them because that'll mess with the numbers

2018-08-25 07:21:11 +0000 UTCI always like some Flat Earth stuff, but that may be a bit overdone. Some New-Age woo stuff would be cool. Spirit Science definitely needs more people ridiculing it.

2018-08-25 05:57:23 +0000 UTCWhat do you think about taking on health/fitness woo woo? It is wierd fun and interesting but also very relevant and consequential. That stuff is rampant these days but there arent alot of people taking it on which I worry about because that crap can get dangerous.

2018-08-25 04:41:44 +0000 UTCI'm going to make it a point to avoid the cop-out answer of "I enjoy everything you do." As a content creator myself, I find that particular answer a little frustrating, even though I appreciate the spirit in which it's given. When I think about the episodes of yours I enjoy the most, they tend to fall into two categories for me. The first are the throwaway videos that are just too silly for legitimate debunks (Robert Lyte, Padre, RedneckTreeGoddess, etc.). those are fun because the subject matter is generally so off-the-wall and silly that half the work is done for you. Just a lot of silliness that is just fun to enjoy... from a safe distance. XD The other category is kind of in the opposite direction. I'm particularly fond of your more thorough debunks. Ones where it's clear that you put a ton of time and effort into researching. Comprehensive ones like the second Armoured Skeptic one, a couple of the Islam ones, Justin Trudeau's speech... which came out in an undisclosed year... and lest we not forget the mainstays of "Hello, I'm a Scientist," "Science in the 12th Century," and "Hello My Name is Kent Hovind." Ultimately, I genuinely DO feel it best that you pick something you feel passionate about and do some stuff about that. And if you can't decide on something, kill some time with some more silly stuff just to have a bit more fun. On a purely selfish note, I admit I would like to see you cover a bit more of Armoured Skeptic's material since his quality of research has taken an unbelievable nosedive over the past couple of years, but I can completely understand if you don't want to reopen that can of worms. I also wouldn't mind more creationist comic debunks on the silly end of the spectrum. I friggin' LOVED those. Anyway, those are my two cents. Hope they were a help.

2018-08-24 14:12:37 +0000 UTCOne of the things that gets under my skin is when people talk about how acupuncture is "proven" and "ancient", when it's actually neither. All of the studies showed that it's no better than placebo and there is no consistency between acupuncturists about where the needles go. The other is the American version of Yoga and how it has nothing to do with India. 😂

2018-08-23 17:43:19 +0000 UTCMaybe some conspiracy theory crap?

2018-08-23 17:21:53 +0000 UTCI think it would be fun to see you debunk some new age woo woo.

2018-08-23 17:05:07 +0000 UTCI would like to see more pseudoscience debunks. Maybe take on some of the woo around yoga or other spiritual exercise.

2018-08-23 12:56:34 +0000 UTCHmm maybe responses to other cults? Like Spirit Science or responding to certain conspiracies like UFOs or Flat Earth? Or crazy hybrids of conspiracies?

2018-08-23 12:09:31 +0000 UTCi would like you to drag him back to the roots of jinn worship ad see if he would return to his origins if he could leave his faith without being killed for it

2018-08-23 10:40:18 +0000 UTCI am going to second Baugh. I've rarely seen Baugh's stuff properly debunked except for an isolated clip here or there and it seems like his inept oration has potential for so much more content.

2018-08-23 09:17:05 +0000 UTCI think the problem is finding the source to be debunked. You'd want to find someone who is being illogical or making specific claims - going after someone who likes superfood cos it makes them feel good would just make you look bitchy.
Douglas St.Quintin
2018-08-23 09:09:45 +0000 UTCI consider that stuff sometimes but I'm not sure I have the science chops for it.

2018-08-23 09:04:28 +0000 UTCI'd go after a wider range of logically stupid stuff. Religion is my pet annoyance, but I equally cannot stand the superfood movement or homeoquacks. Basically if someone makes claims that can't be backed up they need a swift Logicked to the head.

2018-08-23 09:02:35 +0000 UTCI think what really help your channel is a more even flow of content. We tend to get a whole bunch at the end of the month, and a big silence in between.

2018-08-23 08:57:40 +0000 UTCActually, if you've got any more science in the 12th century, that could be interesting. Surely there's more stupid from "Dr" Baugh.
