Save-Game September ALPHA in 2034 (25.08.22)
Hi everyone!
I have tested the September Update in a long-term simulation.

About the test:

- The database contains the ALPHA version, so there were changes made until  Early-Access

- The database contains the "extended setup large", which is available on Patreon.

- Detail level is set to "None" for all leaguecompetitions. (Full detail for all international competitions).

About the save-game/September changes:

Daveincid's WEATHER CHANGES

I have integrated climate change into the game, so to speak ^^ Specifically, this means that with a small probability (approx. 5%) higher temperatures occur in all regions of the world than those entered by default. For example, in London, temperatures of up to 34 degrees can be reached in rare cases. Previously, the maximum was 28 degrees. This may have an influence on the fitness of the players. So it is definitely worth taking a closer look at the weather forecast for the next match ;) As already mentioned, I have deliberately kept the probability low.

IMPORTANT: Due to this file, the "Realistic Weather" by Nik33 is no longer compatible.

OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:

Better transfer behaviour

The evaluation of my XXL save game in 2045 for the August update showed me that especially the top 5 leagues rely too much on foreign players and too little on domestic players. Adjusting this is much more difficult than in smaller leagues, as clubs simply buy the best players, regardless of transfer preferences. So I had to use "stronger" methods to change this behaviour:D

In concrete terms this means:

- The national preferences were reduced

- Club transfer preferences for clubs with a comparatively high proportion of home-grown players have been added.

- The youth ratings of Brazil and Argentina have been lowered slightly to prevent too many players from these nations being signed without affecting the balancing. In return, the ratings for the top 5 nations (England, France, Spain, Italy, Germany) were raised slightly. I have already done some small tests and after 10 years I have on average between 5-8% more local players in the first team of the first division clubs. The target would be 10-15%. Unfortunately I couldn't get much more out of it. But hey, an improvement is an improvement :D

In addition to the changes in the top 5 nations, the USA has also been completely revised. Academy players from the USA will now move abroad much more frequently. Especially to Germany or England.

China has been toned down again due to some insider informations of chinese forums which I was able to confirm after some research.

A nice side effect:

Due to the changes in transfer behaviour, the balance of power of the Top 5 has again been slightly adjusted. I was able to observe this in 7/9 test runs. The test setup was always the "Extended setup extremely small".

Apart from that, some minor changes were made, but I can't remember exactly what they were xD

From my point of view, all the changes have once again greatly increased the gaming experience!

I hope you like the changes!

Save-Game August BETA in 2045 (02.08.22)

Hello all,
As announced, I have tested the August update in a long-term simulation. Due to the speed improvements in the July update, I was able to simulate a few more years this time and thus gather important insights for even better balancing. The original plan was to simulate until 2040, but since the main focus was on Spain, I extended the simulation until 2045. More about that later.

About the test:

- The database contains the final August update

- The database contains the "extended setup medium", which is available on Patreon. This means that more than 65 nations with at least the first league are playable.

- Detail level is set to "None" for all competitions. (Full detail was not really relevant for this simulation).

- It contains some new files, which I will add soon in my "List of files I recommend". The most important one is probably the permanent 5-substitution rule in the European competitions (https://www.fmscout.com/a-5of12-subs-for-uefa-fm22.html). This file works perfectly.

!IMPORTANT!

If you want to evaluate the score yourself, please consider a few important points:

- The transfer totals as well as salaries should be very well balanced everywhere. With the exception of: Clubs that have been taken over by Tycoons. I have no influence on this and it is excluded from the balancing. This concerns, for example, GFS Panetolikos in Greece. If you check their transfer history, you will understand what I mean ;) The same goes for Royal Charleroi Sporting Club, for example, although I find their development very fascinating :)

- In general, salaries/transfer fees are slightly increasing in most countries. This is due to the fact that there is a lot more money in the game because of the new TV deals in England. We will probably still have to feel these effects in reality, but they are clearly recognisable through long-term simulations.

I would like to explain some of my highlights in more detail:

Improving transfer behaviour/finances, especially in Spain:

A main focus for this month was that Spanish clubs can again keep up with the other top nations in terms of transfers. This is very difficult due to the complex league rules. With the OPZ skin you can check the finances of the last 5-6 years.

Debt was a big problem for Real Madrid and Barcelona. Both clubs had long-term debts until 2041, where they had to pay back €4m per month. This means that from 2041 they suddenly have €48m/year more available but cannot spend this money due to the restrictions of the league. The result is that Real Madrid can have 1 billion in the bank, but is unable to spend it. I have finally managed to solve this problem.

Nation club coefficients in Europe:

A good indicator of how strong the respective leagues are is the nation club coeffient. As you can see, the English league is still the strongest, but not nearly as extreme as in most cases per default. It is difficult to list all the changes that are involved, but it is strongly related to the financial adjustments in Spain as well as in France/Italy.

Average age in national teams

This is the first simulation that reaches a year where only newgens are present. I was actually not nervous about my changes working well after 25+ years, but you still don't know until you've done it;)
In short: It works wonderfully:D

Adjustments of mark values

Due to the lowering of certain market value ranges in England, more young talented players are being transferred because they are also "affordable". An example would be the 22 year old Andrew Farley from Hull City, who moved from Man Utd to Hull City for "only" €3.4m after several loan spells. So there will be less talented players who end up in the U23s of big clubs.

Realistic strengths of youth national teams

That's something I'm extremely proud of. Whether you look at the winners of the U17 European Championship, the U19/21 European Championship, the U17/U20 World Cup, it all looks very coherent to me.

Above all, there is no more dominance by Northern European nations like Norway/Denmark. (Too good youth development by default)

The club that impressed me the most:

Royal Charleroi Sporting Club!

For me, this club is a prime example of how a club can grow "sustainably". From 2022-2043, the club was led by the tycoon Samuel Das. The stadium was first constantly expanded from 18,944 to 24,032 before they even moved to a new stadium in 2036, only to expand it again in 2040 to 46,562! How did the club manage to attract so many spectators? 14 league titles in 23 years, 6 Cup titles and twice runner-up in the Conference League!

There are so many more things to explore! Enjoy :)

Cheers

Save game July ALPHA June 2032:
21.06.22
On the whole, the age distribution in 2032 looks very good. In small and medium-sized nations, things already worked perfectly in June version. Now things also looking better for top nations like England, France or Spain. It could still be slightly better (younger players in national teams) but I'm slowly reaching the limit of what's possible without struggle with negative impacts in other areas. Soo.... I'm quite satisfied :)

About the save game:

- All international competitions have been simulated in full detail. The national team competitions too

- All national leagues (at least the 1st league) are playable, but without full details

!MY HIGHLIGHTS!

- Big clubs can struggle and loose significant influence

In this save, Manchester United is a perfect example of what can happen in a time-span of 10 years of bad results. In 10 years they only qualified twice for the Champions League. The international competition was even missed out several times. The consequences are declining sponsorship income and a lower reputation. I'm especially pleased about the loss of sponsorship income. It shows that my changes were able to achieve a certain level of dynamic.

Real Madrid also have major problems to keep up with Barcelona/Atletico. 10 years without a league title!

- New clubs enter the Europe's football elite!

The best example is Real Sociedad. They end the title rotation between Real/Barca/Atletico after more than 27 years!

Leeds made it into the Champions League for the first time in the 29/30 season! Great story!

- Realistic winners of the U17/U19/U21 European Championship

Due to the improved development in top nations like England, Spain, France, the winners of these competitions are much more realistic. (Top Nations dominating)

- African talents from youth academies

There are many talents who successfully move from an academy via a side step or even directly into a top league.
Abou Sylla (PSG) is now contracted to Paris St Germain via the academy of ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast) via Norway!

Souleymana Touré has made it to Arsenal in the Premier League via ASCAE (Senegal) and Pau (France). He is still waiting for a breakthrough but has impressed on a loan in Northern Ireland.

Akinkunmi Otofe (Nigeria) is already well on the way to gaining a regular place at PSG. He has even gone through 2 stopovers before and first earns his merits in the domestic league at Warri Wolves. As with Abou Sylla, it went to Paris via Bodo/Glimt in Norway. The fee of €1.4m was definitely a good deal for a Nigerian club!

- More realistic market values

The extremely high market values

of young players have been successfully reduced without affecting the overall balancing in the game world.

- Faster simulation speed

Just the fact that I was able to simulate the game up to the year 2032 without losing patience is a success^^ Thanks to the adjustments, it's currently about 11% faster on my laptop than without the adjustments. Of course, this varies from PC to PC and I can't make a general statement about how much faster it will be for each one of you. But 10% and more roughly corresponds to one CPU generation, which I definitely see as a success;)

Final conclusion:

I've never had a save where I had so little to complain about. Of course it can always be better, more realistic and possibly even faster. I keep doing my best for upcoming versions ;)

Cheers

MAY Update Early-Access-Test Save in 2026
This is a final test-save which includes all changes of the May-Update:)
I'm very happy of the behaviour so far!

Some highlights:
- The overhaul of China (Foreign transfers are working, finances are much more accurate
- Finances in lower leagues like Brazil, Germany, Spain
- Age stuctures worldwide and player development in general (Best example would be the chinese National team -> players are much weaker now and through that, there isn't a NT full of 20yo)
- Finances in general

There is so much more I could tell but I need to go back to work ;)

Enjoy!

Cheers

MAY Update ALPHA-Test-Save in 2024
The May-Update contains major changes in the following areas:
- Financial adjustments (Market-Values, Salaries, Sponsors) in many lower leagues in big Nations like Brazil, Germany, Spain, France & more. There won't be players in the 3rd brazilian league earning 400k a year;)
- More realistic player development (in some Nations too fast, in some Nations too low)
- Better age-structure, especially improved too young national teams like (for example China, India, Honduras, Guatemala)
- smaller fixes + a new file;)

APRIL Update ALPHA-Test-Save in 2027
I've uploaded the big ALPHA test of my April ALPHA. There are major changes in finances, salaries, market-values and extensive adjustments for Ukraine and Russia. There are also the files included of my "List of recommended files". I'm currently checking Nation by Nation (150+) if their values are accurate over 6 years.
Overall it's close to what I want it to be, so the balancing works very very good! There might be smaller adjustments in market-values to better reflect incoming transfer-fees in smaller Nations.

Checking all Nation takes a lot of time, so if any of you got nothing better to do right now as checking some Nations, that would be much appreciated:) Please note that any club with a sugar-daddy doesn't "count", those finances are skyrocking in any case^^ While checking, always take the continental competitions into consideration. If for example a club from Bosnia reaches the group stage of the Champions League, they might spend much more money as usual, but it's "justified" due success ;)

Some things I've spotted;
1. Anyone who's a fan of ManUdt might get some hope due the departure of the Glazer's in 2025 => New sheikh arrived ;)
2. Average age in National Teams looks great <3
3. It's a good time to be a Fan of Bayern Munich, not so good if your support Besiktas^^
4. Transfer-fees in Croatia are finally well balanced!
5. Transfer-histories I love: Esteban Cisneros (Newcastle), Frantisek Slavik (PSG), Aidas Stankevicius (Ajax), Jeremiah Mussa (Sheffield), Rashid Said (CS Mioveni), Sagesse Ovouka (ES Sahel), Jari-Pekka Lipponen (Brighton)

January Update BETA-Test-Save in 2028

I have simmulated over 6 years with my January-Beta-File aswell as other files which I've posted in my "List of Files I recommend to increase Realism in FM22". There are 110 Nations and over 200 leagues playable. Only in this way I can evaluate the influence of my files properly. Overall I'm really pleased with the result. Transfer-Fees/Salaries for every single Nation has been checked. Almost everyone is perfectly balanced! There are some Nations that have been improved a lot or declined, this has a big influence on the financial situation. If you check it yourself, keep in mind that Teams in weaker Nations which do qualify for the CL on a regualr basis will see a big rise in Transfer-Fees and Salaries. This isn't a bug, this is just a consequence of their success. The same goes to Teams which have a Sugardaddy. Those factors have been taken into account during my evaluation. If you still find something you think is strange, please let me know? (preferably via private message here on Patreon:)
