It's inevitable that I slip into the background and do things more quietly.. it's gonna happen but I want to do it in a way that scales down rather than vanishing... but shy people sometimes fantasise about disappearing, some do anyways. I will drop away but I'll continue to create.. My type of voice acting is a little different to others tbf.. But there's a world of other things to do... romance is very attractive to me.. I'd like to do more romantic work as I get older.. I could do a few years of Mills & Booning :P Romantic poets are lots of longevity:D

Gael vanishing seems to come up often. I feel like it is consistent or cyclical that people are trying to talk you into doing what's best for you. At some point its like talking to a brick wall, right? Some people cant be convinced. I'm not gonna type paragraphs here mainly because it's not my place to do so and frankly I think it would be a waste of thought processes. I pray you figure it out.

I agree, I know that sometimes shyness can come across as rudeness and there have been many many many times when I just vanished... but there's an inner drive to hide away... it's something I'm working on and I have people helping me.., I'm not going to lie, it's crossed my mind countless times to just give up.. it's a battle of sorts and it's one of my flaws. I will address this in a ramble in the next few days :D It's lovely that you can see it for what it is.... Being shy makes ya want to crawl under a rock sometimes And I'd have no problem operating in the background...it's so alluring to me..

So, a pair questions to think about (not necessarily to answer out loud for any of us, unless you feel it would be helpful): 1. What are some ways to balance your need to limit the attention on you with the degree of presence and yes, fandom (distasteful though you may find the idea) that will make it possible for you to achieve your stated goals as an artist (moving a genre in more positive directions, fostering & promoting other talented artists) more effectively? Consider that to change even a smallish culture for the better, & to mentor or give a platform to other artists... the first leads to & the second depends on a certain amount of clout. And clout comes from and comes with attention & appreciation from others, whether you desire it or not. And you being ok still comes first. So ways to balance the sometimes conflicting needs of your person & your mission? Essential, if you're serious about sustaining any kind of positive change around you. (Same for teachers, nurses, activists, anyone who's called to give of themselves to help others but needs not to burn out.) 2. In the interest of not panicking the natives, and of sustaining the good reputation as an artist that you'll need to trade on to promote others & to keep increasing your opportunities to make art: Is there a way you could let folks know when you need to take a step back, *before* you go dark w/o a word? I've got shy & socially anxious friends who sometimes need to leave a social situation abruptly because they're overwhelmed. It *always* goes better (and results in less attention & questions for them) if they can say something -- even something light or witty -- to let others know they're bowing out for a bit. To those who don't know them, or don't know that they're shy, suddenly & silently just leaving can come across as rude, or as being offended by something others have said / done (when then needs clearing up), or even as being a diva. Which you're *not*. But I've seen this dynamic play out countless times, and it's nearly always more needlessly messy when nothing is said but sudden absence. Online, even just a "Real life calls" or a "Need to take care of some stuff, signing off" would do the trick (and needing to take care of yourself totally counts, even if you don't want to say so right out). Tl;dr = Please take care of yourself. Balancing your needs w/ your goals is key to sustaining either successfully. Communicating a little in an uncomfortable pinch can save a lot of more negative or uncomfortable attention & communication later. Now go take whatever time you need & do what will help you re-center. Because you being ok *does* come before anything else. Even for us. *muah*

It's a scary thing for me. But there's no way around it as I'm promoting myself all the time. I want to promote my audios rather than myself.. the mistake is bringing my myself Into it.. when I post jokes and photos it's for humorous purposes... Like the other night I said something like: 2016 has been a bad year for amazing artists: Bowie, Prince, Cohen and now Gaelforce ( from manflu) And that's my way of taking a shot at myself you see? Though some people will think that I am equating myself to geniuses like them... I was laughing my ass off when I wrote it.. Then I thought: opppps what if!!!!

I don't relate to you as a fan to a celebrity; as I've said before, you've got my friendship whether or not I have yours, so that's how I talk to & treat you (like a friend who's new enough that I'm still cautious at times, & skittish enough that I try to tread lightly). But I think you're right that there are people who do think of you that way -- a quick read through the comments on any of your YT videos is enough to see that. And I can only vaguely imagine the sense of pressure that must come with that perception, when it connects. It's not surprising that you detach from it so deliberately and forcefully! (Though I do wonder how sustainable that approach will be as your audience grows, which it is & which it will have to, if you're serious about your stated goals as an artist. Food for thought.) Ok, splitting comment 1 more time...

Yes, I can see how it could get overwhelming, especially for a shy person with a lot of Twitter followers. There's something about the live-stream, constant notifications nature of Twitter in particular that can feel like a barrage of people's comments coming at you, if your headspace is (or gets) the least bit off. I'm sorry you were overwhelmed. (Splitting comment here to avoid a novel.)

Hi all! It's back up! I put it down last night for a time because it was crazy... of course that's my own fault, I know. I think sometimes my Irish 🍀 humour is misunderstood... we take the piss out of ourselves a lot and it s not something that everyone is used to. I'm a little ill and so I decided to have some fun on twitter... our type of 'trolling' is basically banter.. it's not the usual trolling... when I say that i am a troll what I mean is I'm a joker, a trickster... I've trolled some of you in audios and you know what it is, it's never personal, it's never ever mean.. it's basically duping people in a very humorous way.... that's why you'll never see me angry or in conflict... it's all about raising people's spirits.. that's what I'm in it for. The other thing is, I forget what I am sometimes or what I'm seen to be, I guess I'm seen as some kind of celebrity, a mini baby celebrity I know but still... and in my head I'm nothing like that, I'm detached from it, my main goal is to create and to make people happy.. and I'll shift gears as time goes by, I'll reinvent, diversify, develop, promote and take a backseat, that's where it's heading. I'll take a step back from over posting on twitter lol! I'll be on but not as much, I'm gonna lurk and like though :D It's just a lesson learned is all.

I heard someone use the phrase "that's the badger" the other day (meaning "that's the one/that's right") think it's probably an English, west country expression but it made me laugh! I like a rose wine, partial to a retro martini and lemonade and love a gin. I don't drink all the time but when I do.... oops 😄 Hmmmm, kissing Gael - yes! Ladies! I just had the most magical Christmas ever! Between the unexpected message and the "wet" dream, I started my day, albeit late, in a state of pure bliss. If your family is like anything I know (families are like TNT: We Know Drama), especially during such hectic time with all the cooking, cleaning, and hosting, we can get downright short-tempered, heck, irate! Not this year! Not to say that everything worked out without a hitch. No, no, life fired some good shots at me, especially running a business on top of all the madness. But I pulled through! I remained clear-headed, dissociative, even. Best of all, the shock waves reverberated on everyone else. I even had deep conversations with my Dad, philosophical ones where we built on each other's. Thank you Gael, and I'm so happy to have gotten to know you crazy Sirens this past month (are we Sirens because we're hot, bright and make a lot of noise when Gael comes :P) Sending love, peace and joy for you and your families on Christmas day :) Here's a thought, if each of us paid it forward to 5 people, we would have touched over half a thousand lives o_o!!!
