More bantz from the lads!
Added 2017-01-01 10:20:16 +0000 UTC
This is from the Graham Norton show last night. It's wonderful to see how oblivious they are. These lads have typical Irish personalities.. you can see them nudge each other after they say something funny. They are from a tiny little town in west Cork called Skib. Watch the amazing video I'm going to put in the comments section as-well.. Hope you didn't party too hard! Welcome to 2017!
I can't stop smiling. I am such a sucker for the Irish accent. Just keep talking. :3

Haha, yes Kelly, The Graham Norton Show is quite addictive but oh so excellent with his variety of guests and the bantz!!๐

And now I'm in a Graham Norton YouTube spiral... And there's Colin Farrell. And there's that damn accent... Why Gaelforce... WHY?!?!?!

Dammit... you know what... I am not as confused/oblivious about what they said as I would have been a few months ago (or like I was during the Olympics). I guess I've gotten used to listening to that kind of talk in the rambles. haha

"Has a member of your preferred sex ever told you to 'pull like a dog'?" -- Gary's face says SO much w/its very careful lack of expression, haha!

Seeing all these Irish lads makes me wonder what happened to Colin Farrell. He was like such a huge up and comer. :(

It is! It is the O'Donovan brothers! Hooray! No problem to understand them except when multiple people were talking at once -- your rambles have definitely helped in that regard, though! They're adorable, and I couldn't help laughing at their description of rowing. And "Oh, we get charged away dere, no problem!" -- I can just imagine their fellow Skibbereenians taking the piss out of them, and Gary with that nod & grin...

Can't wait to listen when I've a moment to myself! I gather from everyone's comments that it's the O'Donovan boys?
Has anyone seen the interview with their mom? It's so sweet and so feisty! I guess the boys have been getting a lot of female attention since their Olympic exploits... "They will have to go through me first", says mama bear of hopeful young ladies.
Between the O'Donovan brothers, Fassy, & our own dear Mayor's glowing praise for the "Whesht", it sounds like County Cork may be on its way to becoming the dream destination for single young straight women the world over, lol. Someone should let the local tourism board know -- they could start targeting the 18-35 female demographic, haha!

These guys are SO cute!! I can't wait to get to Ireland. I don't think he was talking about Micheals thick Kerry "accent"๐๐ How are these two brothers? They look so different.

Ja, Claudia! ๐ And you, are you having a good new year so far?
2017-01-01 16:33:19 +0000 UTC
Hi Sirens! So... I hope the new year is treating you well so far? Ja? ... :)
2017-01-01 16:10:00 +0000 UTC
Thank you Gael! That was an excellent way to start my day, with a great laugh! It was fairly easy understanding what the lads said since I've gotten used to your talk in the rambles.๐ So Happy New Year to you, Mr. Mayor of Gaelandia, and to all the lovelies who live here or just visit occasionally! Let's "close our eyes and pull like a dog" in 2017!! ๐

Sounds like these guys are very funny but I have to say I'm a bit like Marion Cotillard : je ne comprends rien ! ๐
No seriously I can understand a bit but not the whole thing.
That accent sounds like a different language haha

Your speech is really easy to understand once you allow your ear to hear the cadence of it. Like the melody of a song. And the like thing. Straight SoCal valley. With the like at the opposite end of the sentence. In America, the "like" is in the beginning.

They were hilarious! AND I understood about 88 percent of what they said. So proud of myself. Lol!
2017-01-01 13:33:28 +0000 UTC
๐that's awesome! They seem like cool, regular people... just possibly funnier and with thicker accents. ... "Tis a fairly simple sport" ๐๐๐๐๐

I need more Irish people in my life. These guys are hilarious and sweet as fuck. ๐

๐๐ love the GN show, always a great laugh! I was dying about the arm tattoo......pull like a dog ๐๐๐คฃ

Aw! Lol . definitely gets better with time :) how was it there? Did you get to explore?

My sister in law is from just outside Waterford and when I went over for the wedding, I was a bit like Marion ๐ I think I'd manage a bit better now!!
2017-01-01 11:00:11 +0000 UTC
I'll do a couple later.. Michael and the lads have the same accent.. the lads are just slightly thicker.. but Michael has polished his a little...you can bet your life that they were all speaking the same way back stage. Country lads talk country when they are alone!
2017-01-01 10:50:22 +0000 UTC
Poor Marion is in the middle doing the "just nod and politely smile" bit. ๐ I would love to hear the variation in irish accents.
2017-01-01 10:46:32 +0000 UTC
Oh Graham played it on the show
The funniest part was the very end of the show after the credits: it flashes back onto Graham and he's sitting alone and he says:
'Those two went all the way to Rio to win Olympic medals and look! They forgot them!'
They left them on the table LOL

I love Graham Norton and those lads are hilarious, as you say, just naturally very funny! I just love their description of rowing - no pseudo sports bollocks to be seen! I hope they got to see the "pull like a dog" song too ๐

He seems like one of the few celebrities who actually doesn't take himself too seriously. He was really funny of Jimmy Fallon recently when they played 'frozen blackjack'.
2017-01-01 10:27:06 +0000 UTC
He's as down to earth as they.. they cut the part where he was the only one to shake their hands as they came on. I don't know why they snubbed them.. could have been a mistake but... who knows

I was literally doing the same thing. Another failed attempt at an early night.
