Good morning, Claudia! Plans for this weekend -- 4-6 hours of essay/blue book/journal grading to do. I have a 10 page paper I have to write before class on Tuesday. I have roughly 400 pages to read in Dickens' Bleak House for class Monday night. Oh, and I have laundry to do and need to go grocery shopping. To top it off, it's my hubby's birthday as well! Think I need to clone myself! 😄

Do the giant pile of laundry that's been accumulating for longer than I'd like to admit. Prep my meals for next week. Panic a bit about my taxes. Do some cardio. Try not to let existential angst set in. And maybe see "Life", the new movie with Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds. So, the usual. I confess that the prospect of adulthood seemed a lot more appealing as a child. XP <b>S-Diggity's bday!:</b> Happy birthday, Seanie, you little rapscallion you! I do love rooting for the underdog(g), so I would give him that coveted record deal he wants so much. Even if a rap career doesn't pan out for him, who's to say that he wouldn't find his niche in another genre? Maybe he could be the next Raffi, but with an Irish accent and material that's probably too PG-13 for the kidlets. I'd still buy his album either way.

The rare times that I have tried wearing one, it felt like one perpetual wedgie. I'd hazard the guess that corsets might also be uncomfortable to wear, but I can't confirm that having never worn one before. As far as colours go, I'll happily take something in any shade of pink - light pink, dark pink, hot neon pink, salmon pink, <i>"Does this look infected to you?"</i> pink - you get the idea 👍 <b>Man scents:</b> Freshly showered or wearing clothes fresh out of the laundry are nice scents. Or perhaps a pleasant, but not overpowering cologne. I also like the smell of burnt waffles for some reason, so maybe my dream guy would fix waffle irons as a hobby or something 😝 <b>April Fools' stories:</b> Hmm...I don't know any good ones off the top of my head. I always read your comments when I wander in here. I find them quite fascinating. But I also tends to be very wordy so I'm not sure how much of a barometer I should be i that respect 😆. I completely understand where you are coming from though. I have some of the same thoughts. I over think most things and am easily distracted while I listen. My brain goes in a million different directions. Sometimes I like that I can keep up with multiple trains of thought, other times I'd gladly give it up. As far as the Irish, for the times he doesn't translate in the audio I always think, "I bet he's reading off his grocery list. And I really don't care." 😂 Ignorance is bliss sometimes. He does have a talent for keeping things simple and left up to our imaginations. That's one of the reasons I think he is so good. It makes us all feel like it is personal. Many artists, in general, focus more on making you experience their vision their way. Excellent comment, as always. 😆

<i>(Another one of my silly, long-winded commentaries lies ahead! As always, feel free to skip to the <b>tl;dr</b> at the end 😏)</i> I often wonder whether I should be hiding my emotional power level more when I write these long ass comments. But then I worry that they'll end up sounding quite generic, and if I'm going to take the time to write something, I want it to have the potential to be useful (or at least not be a total drag to read). I really liked the latest YT audio "Laying in Bed With You". It was very relaxing, and I actually had to listen to it 3 times before I got through the entire thing (I dozed off during my first 2 attempts 😝). I think it was the sound of the crickets in the background that did the trick in that respect, even if that wasn't a prominent part of the audio. Perhaps I should try playing some ambient noise in the background to help with my insomnia. 😴 I also liked how there were different points in the audio where Gael was descriptive, but not <i>too</i> descriptive. Like the point in the scenario where he slips off the listener's clothes, but doesn't actually say <i>what</i> he's taking off. This allows the listener to set their own personal tone to the audio. For example, if I want more of a erotic undertone, I could imagine that it was the sexy black lace lingerie that I <del>may or</del> may not own that was slipped off. If I want a more relaxed experience, then maybe the awesome Avengers pajamas that I <del>may or may not</del> totally own are what I'm shimmying out of. Similarly, there's the part of the audio when Gael says something to the effect of "I love it when you do that". Again, he doesn't actually specify <i>what</i> the listener is doing, so it leaves more to the imagination and overall makes for a versatile audio. 👍 And now for the part where I inevitably overthink the audio...😛 <i>(It's not too late to skip down to the <b>tl;dr</b>!)</i> In addition to being relaxing, the audio is quite sweet and soothing in a romantic sort of way. I really do enjoy audios like these, but I'm not a fan of actually admitting that I like them. I know that sounds silly because humans are social creatures, and all of us have the desire - or rather, the need - to feel cared for and protected. But at least for me, acknowledging and thinking about that need...I don't know, I guess it makes one feel a bit vulnerable? Not that that's inherently a bad thing, but some past unpleasant experiences have made me a bit wary about being open and vulnerable with other people. (And yes, it's important to not let bad experiences colour your entire worldview on a topic, but it never hurts to be cautious, right?) So when I listen to audios that contain scenarios where the listener might feel somewhat vulnerable, no matter how sweet the dialogue may be, part of me will usually balk at it in some way. As I listened to this audio, I found myself thinking, <i>"Well, this all sounds very nice and charming, but always remember that YOU can love and take care of yourself, and YOU can protect yourself, and you don't necessarily need to rely on anyone else for that.</i> I then proceeded to jump from one train of thought to another, and I had to consciously stop myself because I was starting to lose sight of what the audio was offering: <i>"Okay, Doctimus, stop for a second or two or six thousand. This audio isn't designed to make you feel bummed out about the past or worry about the future. What it <b>can</b> offer is a ten-minute window of time in the here and now where you can relax, block out the rest of the world, feel safe, and just listen to crickets chirping and Gael saying God knows what in Gaelic. He's probably saying something romantic, but he could just as easily be reading out a recipe for chicken Marsala for all you know. You really should learn how to cook one of these days..."</i> (This thought tangent actually went on for longer, but I didn't write it here because I've gone far enough off topic already 😝) <b><u>tl;dr</u></b>: "Laying in Bed With You" is a very sweet, romantic, soothing audio that can be a great source of escapism if you can shut your brain off for a good 10 minutes. <i>Gladiator's</i> Commodus and I both give it a thumbs up: <img height="200" src="http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/hesitant-thunbs-up.gif">

Bobby is as talkative as Fred, our beagle. Fred is the biggest reason I don't work from home. Hard to have that management/executive authority when he starts to give his opinions.

I loved this, it's just wonderful. What type of Spaniel is Bobby, I want to say a Springer Spaniel - what with his springing into the water the way he does, lol - but I don't think that is right. If I may ask, there were some darker green plants with a wider leaf, the leaves reminded me of squash plant, that I saw as you were crossing the bog... Do you happen to know what those were, they seemed familiar to me for some reason and its driving me nuts trying to figure it out. Have you ever thought of doing something like educational nature walks or hikes with Bobby for your series. With your personalities you could have all kinds of fun and pass along knowledge at the same time. Just a thought... It was a great video, thank you so much for sharing and giving us a brief glimpse of your private world. Please give Bobby a good head rub and a chin scratch from me for a hard days play!
