I've been recovering from a migraine episode earlier this week, I've been changing medications and it's left some of my chronic migraines coming in and out a bit. But other than some health things I've been working on, I've made great progress on queue and peeker things!
Took a little break this afternoon to draw something for me - a design I acquired well over a year ago but never did anything with. The original intention was for this character to be mine and Jake's, his being the dog and mine the cat. A cute little 'together' character, if you will haha. I'm not quite sure if I nailed how I want the character to look consistently, but I did have a lot of fun sketching this and stretching my creative muscle. Trying to get a lot more loose with myself and my work, I tied so much of my self-worth to the completion of my art and it held me back, I'm not going to shy away from some ugly lines or art now and then. Gotta stretch that muscle!
This year is going to be a lot of character work (I hope!) to get me back in the groove while I'm not working on commission work. I missed my OCs, I am desperately trying to get some more passion back in me, hah. I think it's working?
