February News Post - 2/12/23

Finally got this out! Hello everyone! 

Here's the game plan for this month. 

Current state of the game

We finally got the boss battle system in! It's been a long road but we finally got the first list done for the game. I was able to chatted with the team and I looked over the game as a whole. I may have wanted to push the game out a bit too quickly, The game is still a bit rough. But like I mentioned before, the game needed a balance/polish pass and well it's finally time for that. 

As much as I would want to release the game on steam, I just finished the sign up progress and .... well it will indeed take a month fully... before they will allow me to make any post. Mind you that they want me to pay a 100 dollars to start the month progress. (Can't shell out that money till next week, anyhow.) So starting next week, the steam update will happen when it's ready. It's no longer going to be a goal for a set month, but just happen when able. When the steam page is up setup I'll show it off to the paid patrons first before making it public for all. So the new goal now is to make a new polish stable public build. 

Here's the plan for that. Minle is going to be reworking and fixing the inventory system I made. This will allow us to have a less buggy and more responsive system while laying down the ground work for combat items use and even cooking later down the line. Gummi is going to be first be working on remaking the item icons. We are setting down on a style but it will look better than what I was doing. Brandi will be working on the lore and writing the first boss adult story while Sandra will be voicing over Avina's old voice files. Chika will be supporting me as we both start killing bugs, improving the speed of the game and balancing the game. I'll be also fixing up any art and start working on animations for the missing move set for the monsters. (I might get some help to redo and finish the art adult. We'll see.)

Overall, this build will take a bit longer than normal. We have such a long fix list that we just need to start going down the line and crossing them out. As such, this will be a planned two part update. We will release part one this month on Feb 28th. Any new content will be limited to adding on to what we have and improvement to gameplay. 

 Other News

For the changes on the new tiers, I'll have to make another info post this coming week. We are still ironing out the details for the merch tier. I also wanted to talk about the tiers while I reveal the new look for the Patreon. I will be updating our logo and promos to align with our changes and the game. Just trying to be a bit cleaner and more professional now that we are going to be releasing a "real" stable build. We'll be finally losing the tech/prototype label and moving to alpha.
