2017-02-06 18:35:32 +0000 UTCI like a lot of these, but I don't think earth creatures need be limited to half-rock, half-plant design applied to different things, but rather possibly different imaginings applied to the same creature. A creature that's coal black obsidian with cracks in it's ashen husk revealing lava flowing beneath, a creature mad of sand who's part solid and part negative space where the sand is still coalescing, a creature made of gemstones with a gaping cracked open geode as the center of its body. And- a half-rock, half-plant hybrid as a type, but not the basis. My 2 cents.
