Should Ariane be resettled? | Stellaris Invicta 2

Ariane was amongst the first worlds settled within Antares by the Earhart Flotilla. While prized as the “jewel” of the system, irregularities in the planet’s magnetic field, discovered too late, doomed the colonists there to a slow and tragic extinction. For 200 years the planet has remained uninhabited and is today seen by many as a monument to the brave souls who died there and elsewhere in the system.

With the expansion of commerce and industry across the Confederacy however, there are growing arguments within Parliament over whether Ariane should be resettled. The means to overcome the planet’s irregularities are now within reach, and the worlds mineral wealth alone would recoup the initial cost of settlement.

Resettle but ensure a memorial for the past colonists!

I say we resettle Ariane as the first Federal colony of the Antares Confederacy, and respect the legacy of the colonists who gave their lives that we might prosper. ~ Fingolfin of Tehnali

Resettle but there must be a memorial for the past settlers.

I vote to resettle. With a monument.

We can resettle and make a monument for our fallen brothers and sisters

Neutralguy

The best way to honor the fallen Colonists is to succeed where they fell. Let their deaths not be in vain. And perhaps build a autocthon monument in their honor.

I second this motion.

It should be colonized by an equal amount of colonists from each member state of the confederacy to form a new city to be the heart of the Antares Confederacy owned by the Confederacy itself instead of its member states. Let the jewel of Antares become the jewel once more and breath unity between the peoples of the system.

Let us resettle the planet. And turn the original colony into a memorial site. To remember all those who were lost in the process of colonizing Antares.

Here (on Ariane) we will remain most excellently.
