polyhaven.com is live!

Last night we finally launched polyhaven.com, and for the most part everything's gone pretty smoothly :)

You'll find a lot of new models here: https://polyhaven.com/models


There's still work to do to port over some of the nice-to-have features from the old sites before we redirect them to the new site (e.g. tiling preview for textures, 360° view for HDRIs), but here's what's new in terms of functionality:


The delays to launch the site were numerous and unexpected, but I'm really proud of what the team has achieved to get here, and I look forward to filling the site up with assets :)

Our current priorities (in no particular order) are as follows:

Today's a public holiday here in SA, so the team is taking a well-deserved day off :) Tomorrow it's back to tackle those remaining tasks and plan for the future!

Thanks again for everyone's support and patience, it's been a grand adventure so far.

If I may... Why the HDRI 360 degrees view we had on HDRI Heaven wasn't ported to the new site? This was very useful to, I guess... some of us? Thanks!

Just came here after cancelling my substance subscription after witnessing what, I guess, I knew what was coming. Re-vamp, re this, re that, adobe doing the only thing it knows how to do, corporate the living daylights out of something. So, also, no more Substance source. I hope more people support polyhaven.

I have an idea of what might be the cause, a shift-F5 (or ctrl-f5) would likely fix it for you, but I'll see about how to avoid this happening altogether.

It seems to be working correctly now, don't know what it was. (I tested multiple browsers though)

Yep, a big part of our workflow is ensuring technical consistency so that we can automate as much as possible. This means we should easily be able to port the entire library over to whatever asset manager in the future.

I randomly checked last night to see if it was up since I was ever so slightly annoyed with constantly switching the Textures and HDRI sites and I was surprised to see it up. It looks great! Really like the new models too! For Blender 3.0, they're going to have the new Asset Browser. Is this going to be something you're going to work into the website/.blend files?
