The Perils of Rural Smuttery

So, my internet's out! It'll be down for at least another day. I'm totally off the grid, and I had to get to the library in town to even communicate this.  It's been a bad couple of days.

Initially, I expected this to be a fairly minor inconvenience, since, y'know, mo internet mo problems, I can just get my notes down and then write offline. But because all my work is on Google Docs these days, this means my work has hit a several-day-long speedbump—not only can I not write in the docs, all the work I'd need to reference has been unavailable! Worse still, I literally can't get into my docs from the library computer, because Gmail's "password reset" system is insanely stringent even though I gave them my phone and my so-called "recovery" email address (I don't have a "previous password", you assjackals, I've only had one password on this account and that's the one I can't remember). Even just getting into the Patreon required me to run a bunch of verification BS because no website trusts library computers.

So I can't write anything, or copy any outlines down, or really do any work at all, and I need to strangle several Google technicians right now. In fact, Google and CenturyLink? You're joining Tumblr and Patreon on the shitlist! Welcome! <3

Overall, this doesn't mean that much for all of you, just that I won't get anything done this week (aside from what I wrote Monday and what I write Saturday) and the month's productivity will be delayed accordingly. I was going to run a D&Dazes game, which is being delayed, though the game I was going to run this Sunday should still be on.

I'll talk to you all when my home is wired once more!

There's a chrome extension that lets you work on google docs offline. I recommend grabbing it.

Once this goes away, there's a way to access your google docs offline, I think it's an extension or something. You can try getting that for next time!

I really feel you on the password problems. Getting to a point where I'm ganna need to take the route of compiling a list of them, so I don't have to constantly reset them when I forget one.

I'm terrible at remembering passwords, which is why I use lastpass (although other password managers would do just as well) since it lets me only have to remember one password. Not too useful if you can't get in though

That sucks. I hope you get internet back soon!
