Morning Sprints and Summer's End

Hello, my lovelies!

So, there's been a hanging question for the last year or so, ever since Tumblr went down: What's happened to the flashfics?

Well, I finally worked out a way to fit them into my schedule.

The tl;dr:

What: Morning Sprints, an hour-long period during which I write flashfics in a Google Doc. People can watch, read, comment, flirt, whatever they like!

Who: For now, all $25+ pledgers.

When: Every workday morning, 7am PST. "Workdays" are currently a shifting definition, though.

Where: I'll post a link to the Google Doc the night before!

Why: To help me warm up for the day and get ready to work. I'm looking for people to keep me honest!

My biggest struggle when I sit down at 7:00am PST is actually getting started, y'know, writing. It's so easy to get distracted in the goblin cave I live in, with all these dangling crystals and all that distant ethereal music from the echo sirens, and I end up wasting a whole morning. I need a warmup, and ideally, it needs to be a warmup where I really do have to get started right away, no tits-boobs-or-buts about it.

So for the first hour of every workday, I'm gonna open up a Google Doc and start writing as many flashfics as I can! Anyone with the link will be welcome to comment, make suggestions, or just make fun of how slow I type, as long as they aren't super disruptive. I'm fine with a pretty playful/flirty atmosphere! People are also free to just open an Incognito window and lurk and watch what I write (or read typo-filled entries from previous days). It'll just be flashfics/Smut 101s and CYOA stuff, so no real fear of "spoilers" or the like.

For now, I'm keeping morning sprints at the $25 level, because my $25 pledgers deserve something nice while I get ready to work on the gamebook. I might consider moving it lower in a few months if a lot of people are super interested, but I'm currently assuming this'll be more a "1-3 people pop in every couple mornings", and otherwise I'll just write in happy silence. ^-^

Either way's fine with me, but it'd be fun to hang out with some of you! The real point is to have a little presence that keeps me actively engaged and, well, shames me into focusing on smut instead of getting caught up on Twitter.

I will warn you, though, my first-draft writing is so sloppy you'd think I was being dunked in Thriae honey every time I hit the spacebar. ;P

Summer's End

I'll do a more complete post about this later, I'm sure, but I just have to say—summer is ending, and my mornings are about to get a bit more cramped. That means some days out of the week, I won't be available to write at all, which is super sad! We'll see how it impacts my productivity, though it might not be as bad as you think. My hope is that fewer writing days balances out with being able to focus my writing energies more narrowly. I might also adjust my schedule by getting up earlier or taking time to work on smut later in the day.

I expect my available-for-sure workdays to be weekends, probably Fridays, and possibly Wednesdays.

Tomorrow will likely be a workday, and if it is, I'll be sure to post the link! Even if you can't make it during the sprint, you'll still be free to read what I wrote later, too. <3
