Our Upcoming Shoot for "Winter Soldier Slays"!

Next Tuesday we're shooting the IRL version of our show scene where Winter Soldier assassinates Howard & Maria Stark...
...to Nelly's "Hot in Herre"
...in a much more gory fashion than the original!

And here are a few development shots from this week!

First - location. Particularly happy with finding a dirt road with street lamps, on a hireable property so we can also have power and an indoor space for warmth! It's the driveway for a Scouts hall.

Second - the car! Trying to find cars from the late 80s/early 90s is hard, but we managed to find someone with both a good condition AND a scrap version of the same car! So we've bought the scrap one and the owner is letting us use the good one for the internal shots (since it still has innards!)

And then a few shots of the car in the studio - we've had it here, cleaning it up (there was spraypaint on the boot which we've now removed), making it crash ready, and rehearsing for the shoot!

And finally, a lil' shot of the spectacular Kaylee Kingi on stage in the scene! She'll be reprising the role next Tuesday for this video, and joined by Megan (Black Widow in the show!) as Maria Stark, and actor Charles Anthony diving in for the first time as Howard Stark!

Who Is Working on the Shoot?

I, (Samwise) am the Director for the shoot

Ben (my brother), who shoots and edits all the awesome videos you see, is the DOP (Director of Photography) for the shoot

Nayla (Ben's fiance) who creates ALL the show graphics (logo design, all our promo images, all our emails, everything), is the camera assistant and shooting all our BTS!

Maddi (my Exec Coordinator), who moonlights as the Assistant Stage Manager on the show itself, is 1st AD on the shoot!

Elise (my little sister!), who is on the stage team for the production, is a production assistant on the shoot as well!

Emma (show Choreographer) is also on board as a movement director!

Dasha (Head of Wig Hair & Makeup for the show) is doing all the special FX, blood, makeup, and wigs!

Julian (Nayla's cousin) is doing our VFX! Otherwise how else will we achieve the decapitation...
