Let us introduce you to new series of video tutorials. :)
And little GW "Curse City" diregoyles we named ZOG & GOG
(Gog is converted, because - Mr.Craftworld likes to create new characters, but we still kept them similar for the purposes of this lesson)
If you have been with us from the start of our teaching trough Patreon, you know that we love to bring as many topics possible trough lesson and to work on many new interesting ideas, approaches and topics using some of now well know technique's.
One of these technique's is UNDERPAINTING.
We have been explaining the use of this approach many times, but with this series we want you to have more detailed insight to technique itself and introduction to practice of this technique's so that you all can understand it better and have nice and constructive practices.
There will be more tutorials regarding underpainting, this is JUST A START.
We will go trough more examples on HOW and WHY this technique can be used, so you can implement it more easily in your practices and PAINTING PROJECTS. (MORE UNDERPAINTING TUTORIALS UPCOMING) - BUT, THOSE REGARDING OTHER TECNIQUES AS WELL. STAY TUNED.
When it comes to COLOR THEORY AND TONAL VALUES, we would like you to focus on PRACTICE AND EXPERIENCE. It would be a great bonus learning about COLOR THEORY, but don't let it stay just a theory, EXPLORE, EXPERIENCE AND LEARN trough your own PAINTING JOURNEY with OUR LESSONS AND GUIDANCE.

I enjoyed it and learned how the zenithal priming, the underpainting, and overleaping layer interact with each other. Will you guys also cover about using multiple underpainting colour in the future?

The video you watched on You Tube as all the other videos on our Patron have all of these information followed with different topics and approach. But with the new series we decided to separate these values trough different examples and make them fun but detailed, informative and easy to follow. This is idea behind this video and it will be a guide for all upcoming ones. It even takes me more time to work on these shorter duration videos since I need to make it all be of best understanding possible. I am glad you like it and we are both looking forward to being more of it all. :)

What got me interested in your Patreon is the video on YouTube from Squidmar and what amazed me was the different color choices used to paint leather, armor, and skin, that I had not seen before. Also, for someone who’s illiterate in art could you create a document that explains some of the vocabulary you use? For example, volumes, tonal values, contrast, difference between base coating and underpainting, etc. I think that’ll get new Patreon’s up to speed quickly to follow along in future lessons. You’re amazing and I’m really enjoying this painting style and eager to learn more.
