Weekly Update No.95 Meet the Tavern

Heya! Schrade here! Its been a week! Fasstt. 2024 might be here tommorow waaa, Ahaha so sup, Schrade's been busy, I finally uploaded that 60 page CYOA and it was a good thing, I'm free, Kinda, After that, The tavern roulette is being made on, Imma introduce it and announce the poll winners today! Many news today and let's see whats in the Schrade pot.

I thank you for votin! Haha its a fun setlist, A fairly balanced class list, Maybe we can add more soon~ I think the tavern can be solid for like. Themed expansions around a RPGlike world. Compared to the Quest. It will be a world tour based in different RPG type archetypes. Maybe, But heh i'm getting too ahead of myself, Time to explain how it works now that It got a little bit of hammering down the last week

Meet the Tavern

The tavern well, I already explained in the poll, Is a RPG themed story about being forced into the tavern life by being enslaved. So with the intro, You will have to roll to choose your base job class. Either one of the poll winners above as your starter, Each Role/Job has 4 key features. The Tavern Skill, A moneymaking boost to your gold gain, The Job skill, A additional task modifier you must do when doing tasks as that job, The uniform, Clothing to wear as that class, and the Equipment. Equipment you can wear, This might be supplementary but If I get time, I will include a level up system per job class into unlocking additional stuff for you. Like extra skills or uniforms. Because you can revert into a "Freelancer" class that can mix and match different unbound abilities a job has. Why is it that complicated you may think. Think of it as me growing up with RPGs with job class systems and how I enjoy grinding them and mixing and matching skills. I'd want a Roulette with that base system rather than The Quest's fixed job and equipment system in place. Ahaha its as simple as im making it out to be dont worry, Grind XP, Upgrade your job and unlock perks to use when working as different jobs. Mix and match, To control the experience of each task as well.

In the tavern you can take quests/requests that pay XP and Gold. But it has tiers. We start with the Alley Reqs,Tavern Reqs, and the Brothel Reqs. Each tier ramps up in difficulty and rewards, And you might need to play the role of certain job classes to participate in tasks in the brothel tier. I revised the story to get enough money than buy your freedom, I feel it is a better segway into a potential sequel hehe.

But yea thats all that the tavern in about, Expansions will be explained next week as Im thinking how to make interesting expansions, But adding new places to get requests from. Perhaps a more humiliating place, or a more challenging place. I'll think about it as I feel it still must be related to our starting point of a tavern. In fact. Im thinking of changing the name to something The Wench ch.1 Tavern. But thats a plan im still iffy on anyway im excited to develop it further. 

CYOA News: City Of Deviants CYOA

Bunny CYOA just did okay, I wanna make something short now. A little challenge for myself. Make a 1-3 page CYOA within a week. So im making villain themed and comic book themed. It looks banging. This will definitely be a nice graphic design layout for a future comic book themed roulette draft im working on, I'll introduce that next feb sure hehe, Anyways it will be about becoming a villain in a special city where "Interactions" with heroes are much more intimate, Should be a fun exercise and palette cleanser after that 60 pager eh, Ahaha after that I can get into scheming long ones, Or maybe just make small ones for fun idk CYOAs are a hit or miss but regardless they are fun to make like Roulettes hehe.

Conclusion

Rabbit's hard at work! December ate up every bit of savings and now Jan is a drought of finances and even higher inflation. But meh, I'll just do what I love and try to escape reality for a while. Ahaha just do and do and everythin will work out fine. Im pumped to work on new things now and I'm planning a bitez roulette next month as well. Lots of drafts were improved and made recently and I cant wait to introduce em, But I gotta focus on my stuff so I finish em first AHAHAHA.
