Weekly Update #104: Meet the Convention

Heya Heya, Schrade here! I'm doing fine. Been busy this week both irl and content wise. and I'm here to give an update on the convention mainly, But also the upcoming CYOA RR. Ch.2 where I admit I kinda were sleeping on due to general busy-ness of the Rabbit ahaha. So lets start now, This will be short I got a trip tommorow for somethin.

Meet the Convention

Update on the con roulette. Reworked it from the original draft a bit. There will be no map now, But there will be a stylized paths divided into 4 Ii call Courses. The goal of the roulette is to finish 1 course. But there are 4 available for you to choose from with difficulty varying depending on the Singularity. Speaking of which

I guess I'll start with the proper story.

You enter a convention to hang out with a few of your friends. But then, Within the confines of the convention halls come a Incursion. An event that twists the fabric of reality and universes where 4 adjacent Universe sets known as a Singularity or a 'Verse, as our narrator calls it. I will preview the 4 universes now.

Well Technically 5. Because we are including our own verse we call the "Boring-Verse" Because everything in the other universes are fictional within the boringverse.  In a course you will see a path color coordinated with either of the 4 singularities and there will be a 6 task roll for each verse, I wanted it to have more singularities so i swapped from a 10 roll to a 6. Mainly because we have 7 tasks per verse, as each course ends with a boss task. Each verse has one. Back to the story.

You, The nerd, is excited to visit small parts of the worlds you are a fan of. But are these worlds kind to you? Who knows. You must survive the madness by keeping your HP up to 5 hearts. Losing a task makes you lose a heart, but, There are chances of rest by landing on a grey tile for the boring verse, That represents a perk for you to take, or healing. All random as well. So to recap. Different universes, a set of courses, each with a different sequence. boss as the end. Support Perks to help you out with tasks 2-4 times per course depending on difficulty. I might add a permanent perk per course beaten for a reward. As well as a free perk if you lose the game. Anyways. This is hopefully a simple roulette for you to follow. I feel its themed quite nicely and I like the graphics I made with it.

Status update here is that imagesetting/editing has finished and writing has begun. I will announce next week the expansion details and expect them to be different verses you can travel to. So a total of 5. So thats exciting~ But yea, Still finishing the main stuff, Haven't begun that yet, But by next week im sure to showcase the new verses in store for the Expansions.

CYOA News: Getting out of limbo: Rental Retainers Ch.2

I have no excuse really. I guess im just busy with lotsa stuff I find more fun like roulettes, drawing, or maybe writing stories, If you're interested I post some short bondage stories on my discord server at #story-corner. But yea its just silly stories I cant really pass off as content in my opinion. Ehem, Im getting outta focus

RR Chapter 2's having a new addition but the 7 pages drafted are 100% complete actually. It just is having the new pages finished, Mainly a dedicated new "Master" section as well as a new branch of perk called the Generic/Sage perk tree. Mainly themed around coping as a retainer and trying to like, I dunno, Bridge together the 5 existing paths. But hmm, Honestly might scrap it tbh AHAHHA. 

But yea, Might post this late may now and this is a promise for reals. I feel like this dragged out mainly cuz I ran outta steam mid April and just found the spark to finish it last week. I got alottta other side CYOA drafts worked on. So I feel its a matter of motivation on this CYOA more than me being busy.

Conclusion

Schrade's been busy, Having fun trying to keep up the drawing habit while making progress on both roulette and CYOA, albeit slowly, but hey it works ahaha. Im havin fun workin on the convention as it seemingly turned waayy more interesting than how I drafted it. The tasks are planned to be nice references and since you recognize the characters I feel its nice being put in alternate universes of the existing canon of the franchise. So its been fun making the Roulette, Meanwhile the CYOA just kinda has alotta fancy schmancy dialogue and philosophical stuff that I researched for maybe waaayy too much. I feel its pretty cool and all but man was it long to finish it
