Make Sulfur Dioxide

yeah i might try that someday. But the stuff is super dangerous. It's viciously destructive to flesh and is carcinogenic. So i need some interesting use to justify making it. I got so many other ways to make sulfuric acid that making sulfur trioxide for it seems to be a moot point. But we'll see.

2023-09-25 01:45:25 +0000 UTCSomehow I think it would be still more useful to show how to make sulphur trioxide, which can then be diluted into concentrated sulphuric acid to make oleum. SO₃ can be made by pyrolysis of sodium bisulfate at 600 °C+ (needs a quartz tube or RBF), but is otherwise quite easy.
