Part 2

I haven’t written in my diary for a month now. And that’s very unlike me.

In pivotal moments of my life—when things around me shifted, when something broke or didn’t make sense—I would always reach for my pen and open my diary. It helped me understand myself, helped me climb out of emotional whirlwinds. It often brought me balance. Gave me that small sense of daily “zen.”

But this past month, my “diary entries” began and ended here—with you.

And I wonder: does this mean I no longer need my diary? Has its therapy worked its magic and moved on? I started writing when I began working with my therapist a few years ago. He suggested I write my thoughts down, saying it might help me move through transformations more gently. And he was right.

Now, when I look at that little notebook full of words, I feel warmth. Gratitude. But I don’t feel the urge to explain myself to myself anymore. I don’t want to analyze or break things down—I just want to be. To live without constantly seeking meaning. Whether it feels good, heavy, or unclear—I want to let it be, without rushing to label or fix it. Who cares why I feel something? Sometimes, it’s okay to stop searching and just feel. Not run away from it—just let it exist.

It’s not like I’ve stopped reflecting altogether. But every time I caught myself spiraling into analysis, I gently brought myself back to now. And here I am—with you. I let myself write for a while… and now, I return to simply being.
