Despite the uncharitable image the young Dragon Lord has to present, he understands the power of kindness. After all, it's thanks to the selfless actions of his adoptive parents that he survived running away from home by the skin of his teeth and grew into such an impressive dragon.
Though his subjects sometimes make him question his faith in his species, there are two dragons who prove to him that good ones exist, and are worth making things better for. By doing that he can repay them for the second chance they gave him.
