Fun With Shorts Patreon Update

Hello, patrons! Josh here with a quick update on all things Fun With Shorts. I'll be posting another new short this week, a strange little traffic safety cartoon made by (who else?) Methodists. I'm also cooking up a couple of new patron-only riffs for your eyes only!

Now the less-great news. At one point, we were on track to have two Fun With Flicks riffs this year, but I've lost a significant amount of support over the summer and we're down to just one movie. To be honest I'm a little down about the falling numbers but also a smidge relieved to only have one feature-length script to work on. These FWF titles take a looong time to write.

Regarding the campaign, I want to make two things simultaneously clear: 1) I now rely heavily on Patreon and your pledges mean a great deal to me and my ability to make funny videos, and 2) no one should ever feel bad if circumstances require you to adjust your pledge or take a month off. No one owes me an explanation, so please never worry about that. Do what you have to do.

If you continue to enjoy the work I've been producing through this campaign, please consider sharing my Patreon page and/or video on social media and (if you haven't already) please subscribe to my YouTube channel and like and share the shorts. Thanks!

Hang on, Josh! I'm slowly digging my way out from under old credit card debt. In another year I should be able to raise my contribution substantially - at least double my current paltry amount. I hope it's enough, soon enough.

First of all, sorry for the falling numbers. As you say, circumstances can result in folks not being able to continue or having to adjust things and you shouldn't feel it's a reflection on you. As I've told you privately (but I want to state it for everyone to see) you are very important to my wife and I, as we spend every Sunday morning watching at least one of your features (we've usually been doing two or three because we had a backlog, but that's rapidly disappearing). It gives us some much needed laughs in these difficult times, and anyone who can do that consistently deserves great praise. Keep up the good work!
