2019-11-26 19:54:50 +0000 UTCBe prepared for Final Fantasy XIV. After trying the game and it not really clicking with me at release, I tried it again a few months ago. Starting June 1, I have gone through almost all of the base game and its expansions, and I am still playing to this day. It's massive, but also massively enjoyable. Never had I played an MMORPG, but I really like it so far. There's so much to do in this game, I wonder how a review or retrospective on the game will work: do you focus on certain aspects or try to do it all? Be prepared to sink a lot of hours into this one.

2019-11-23 17:49:12 +0000 UTCThanks for the update! A couple of thoughts: (1) The new video schedule with the podcast every two weeks seems like a great idea. Looking forward to it! (2) This will be, basically the 3rd time you've re-recorded your FF Retrospective/Reviews. Clearly this franchise as a whole is very special to you. It might be fun, to do a video on the FF franchise as a whole, and why it is so special to you. Maybe talk about playing FF7 as a kid, or the first time you picked up FF6, and what is it about this franchise in particular that you enjoy so much, as a whole. (3) DQXI does something really weird, it posts the credits after the 2nd act. But the 3rd act, after the credits, is like another 25-30 hours, with full cutscenes, and story arcs, character development.... I can't imagine not playing that, as it isn't really "extra", I couldn't believe how much story was in there.
