Just one Sip

Chatper 1:

    Catherine was more than just a friend to the listener; he had a crush on her for a long time. Everything changed one day when he heard the shocking news: she was a vampire. He couldn’t believe it and needed to find out the truth.

Gathering his courage, he confessed his love for her. But when he handed her a necklace that he made for her, (by a flower which is known to be poisonous for Vampires) she got burned where she touched it. When Catherine hesitated, he kissed her, but in that heated moment, she accidentally bit him.

As emotions surged, he revealed that he knew her secret. She looked back with trust, but deep inside, a craving was awakening—a need for something more. Despite his instincts, he let her take a sip of his blood, fully aware that it was poisoned by a special concoction made by his father. He was the son of a vampire hunter, raised to hate vampires and work with witches to eliminate them.

As she drank, her face twisted in pain, and she collapsed. Panic gripped him. Had she been pretending all along?

When Catherine woke up, she found herself in a dark cellar, confused and scared. A guard explained everything about her family. As the truth hit her, dread filled her heart—if she didn’t get help from a witch, she would die in just a few days.

But witches always sided with hunters.

Caught in a web of love and betrayal, the listener faced an impossible choice: could he protect the one he loved when everything he’d been taught told him to hate her?

The listener’s heart pounded as he approached the cellar. He ordered the guard to leave, needing privacy. The guard nodded and stepped out, closing the heavy door behind him. The listener turned to Catherine, who was chained to the wall, her eyes wide with fear and confusion.

Feeling betrayed and angry, he confronted her. She confessed, revealing the truth about her life as a vampire. She explained how she was a Princess and got killed by enemies before turning into a vampire with the help of a kind stranger. Despite his anger, he realised that she had never wanted to hurt him.

The listener’s emotions were a whirlwind. He felt torn between the love he had for her and the hatred he had been taught to feel towards vampires. The reality of her words sank in, and he understood that she was in grave danger. The poison in his blood, a concoction made by his father, was slowly killing her.

Desperation set in as he realised that without the help of a witch, she would die. Despite the risk, he decided to help her escape. He couldn’t let her die, not after everything they had been through. He knew his father, Michael, a notorious vampire hunter, was far away hunting vampires, but he could return at any moment.

Determined, the listener unlocked Catherine’s chains and picked her up. They needed to leave the town and find a witch willing to help a vampire. Time was running out, and they had to move quickly. Sneaking out of the cellar, they fled into the night, hoping to find a way to save her before it was too late.
