When you realized Meurem keeps asking Komugi if she's there probably because the poison made him lose his eyesight. Holds tears. I feel like everyone has the exact same reaction to the preview. Almost like they did it to cheer you up a bit.

The current manga arc has like 3 times the cast size of Chimera Ants arc lol. It's crazy how there are like 6-7 factions and we're constantly zooming around all of their narratives.

Great reaction and discussion :) About the FMAB vs HxH thing: I remember that I watched like 9 episodes of FMAB and nothing really stood out for me (other than the Nina episode with her dad which was well executed and dark) so I ended up dropping it. It's actually one of the few anime that I dropped. I also disliked the comedy quite a bit. Maybe I should give it another chance though... Btw, I'm not one to hype things up but I truly believe that HxH manga's current arc has the potential to surpass the Chimera Ant arc. The CA arc is, IMO, a 10/10. I never thought it would be possible to top it, yet I'm somehow enjoying the current arc from the manga even more than I enjoyed the CA arc at its early stages. The arc is also much more complicated, with tons of characters involved (old and new characters) and plenty of tension. Without spoiling anything; it's basically Yorknew+ S1-S4 of Game of Thrones on steroids, with stakes higher than the CA arc. I definitely recommend reading it after you're done with the anime! (though we get about 10 chapters per year due to the hiatuses lol).

For some odd reason, "kokoriko" (heart's child) never got fully translated in these videos. I've mentioned this in previous episodes, but you have to remember the significance of this move. It was technically a move that Komugi gave birth to and Meruem revived. Rather than giving up on this "dead end", Komugi once again revived it with new strategies. Someone in some Japanese forums also discovered this when the manga first published this chapter: Komugi's final lines before the credit was a traditional Japanese acceptance of a marriage proposal lol. She went sneaky on that love confession. If you didn't pay attention, you'd think it was just a random introduction once again.

It seems none of the reactors got this, but the Diego that was shown in this episode is not the one we saw before. The one in this episode is the actual supreme leader who went into retirement ages ago and is now enjoying life reciting poems in the countryside lol. It's a parallel to what Meruem's life could have been if he was given that chance. The absolute ruler before was but a body double. Also one of the most important themes of this arc is Meruem's name: light that illuminates all things. As the almighty king he once had enough power to do so. Now that he went blind in the final moments, he was able to see more than before, just like Komugi.

I've never understood the praise for FMAB. I always thought the humor was misplaced, the themes hit you over the head, and the main villain was basically not even a character. I didn't hate it, but it's strange to me that people think it's God's gift to anime. This episode is when I knew HxH was something special. I sit here a year later watching reactions and patiently waiting for the next slew of manga chapters...

The final arc can't really compete with the chimera ant arc, but it's still a good arc to wind down the anime
