Well part of it is also that the anime somewhat diverged from the manga at the end. Howzer and some of Dawn roar were supposed to escort Dreyfus to prison but then we suddenly see Dreyfus alone trying to stop Hendy. Furthermore Howzer, one of the most prominent holy knight we know, somehow isn't present during the final battle against Hendy, something that the holy knights present in the battle mention themselves only for us to see the fatally wounded Howzer and the corpses of Dawn Roar lying in some part of the capital.

2019-08-27 04:28:50 +0000 UTCThere was definitely some retconning between seasons 1 and 2. Especially with the "Dreyfus was evil all along" twist. There are so many scenes in season 1 that directly contradict that. Though at least the OVAs make that change a bit easier to swallow.
