The attributes that usually help shounen protagonist succeed and make them "likable" are the things togashi used as Gon's flaws. He is stubborn to a fault, the typical shounen WILL of never giving up and being positive about everything. When you take that character archetype and put it in a story with consequences it shines light on the problems that type of personality would have in the real world. Things don't always workout in the end.

2019-08-17 14:31:08 +0000 UTCI know people have different interpretations on all of this but I personally do think she is genuinely sorry. She's being confronted with the consequences of her actions. Her killing Kite (while she was defending the nest and the queen) broke this 13 year old boy.
