2019-10-08 03:57:59 +0000 UTCThe revelation of Zeldris' commandment raises a small plothole that's bothered me ever since i read the manga. Meliodas very obviously turned his back and ran away from Zeldris just before Grayroad pulled him back when the Ten Commandments attacked him during the tournament. And for some convenient reason, he wasn't enslaved by the Piety Commandment. It doesn't really change much in the long run since the outcome would have been the same regardless, it's just always bothered me lol. And before anyone says "Commandments are immune to the curses" no, Commandment HOLDERS are immune to the effects of Commandments. Meliodas doesn’t have his Commandment at the moment so he should still be susceptible to Piety. If that were true, Estarossa shouldn’t have been able to stop the Revenge Counter. The DK even says in Putgatory that he was struck by the effects of Love and Piety so he was 100% able to be affected by them. I suspect it was just a case of Nakaba not knowing what the Piety Commandment did yet and writing himself into a corner. As I said, it’s not a huge deal, it’s just a small plot hole.
