2019-10-16 11:00:12 +0000 UTCThis is not spoilers to put it simply Anyone could have put that letter in. After we saw the letter sent inside we see Gilda going outside of her room. While Gilda was going to Sister krone the real traitor was sending a letter to mom. Now this part is a little spoiler but it isn't a huge plot point so don't read this part if you are not interested in how Norman knew. Norman told Ray Gilda the rope is under the bed and Don in the attic or something. However that was a lie Norman actually told Gilda it's at another spot and since Ray thought Norman told Gilda that it was under the bed he was the only one that knew that the rope was there. So after it is gone it's obvious who the traitor is.
