There are actually 2 movies for Violet Evergarden, one of which was released last year and is available on Netflix now (I think it came out like 3 or 4 weeks ago). This is the one that is currently out https://myanimelist.net/anime/39741/Violet_Evergarden_Gaiden__Eien_to_Jidou_Shuki_Ningyou. I think this is considered more of a sidestory than a sequel, whereas the other movie that was scheduled to be out this year in theaters was considered a sequel.
