Chapter 166: Watch Your Back

The chaos settled. No flickering flashlights, no baby cries, no rattling handles.

But the fear had broken them. Sam Harper drove the streamers nuts.

“Hah! That’s all you got? Ain’t enough to scare me!” Eggplant, back in the pod after chugging water, laughed wildly. “Watch this! I’m facing that ghost today!”

Eyes shut, he stormed forward, twisted the handle, and flung the door open. “Come on! Scare me, Harper!”

“Bring it, you psycho!” he yelled, hands on hips in the lit corridor.

Twitch chat cackled:

“I wasn’t scared!” Yin barked, back from a bathroom break. “Just testing her! She can’t even open the door!”

He strutted, grinning. “I’m standing here, Lisa. You dare look at me?”

Chat lost it:

“Fearless!” Jada Brook shouted, gripping her flashlight, striding forward. “A journey starts with one step! No ghost’s stopping me!”

Her laughter echoed, chilling viewers. “Scared? Nah, I’m good!”

Chat shivered:

“You can’t fear this game,” ShuBro muttered, flashlight in hand. “The more you’re scared, the worse it gets. Like they say, trouble finds the weak.”

Chat groaned:

Cody Black, “Young Master,” burst from the bathroom, screaming into the dim corridor. “Kangmang, baby!”

No ghosts. He snorted. “Nobody here!”

Chat roared:

Cody charged, flashlight raised. “Something’s ahead? I’m not scared! I’ll shout it away!”

Click. The corridor door opened. A new cycle.

Darker now. A single wall lamp flickered. The abyss hummed, hiding deeper terror.

Lisa’s voice returned—gasping, throat-slit gurgles. Worse than before.

“Holy crap!” Cody collapsed. “It’s pitch black! I can’t see!”

Chat got goosebumps:

Cody nodded. “Last shot. One more kick, I’m out.”

He raised the dim flashlight. “Once there was a mountain, and in it… a temple…”

Lisa’s moans grew clearer. “How’s that sound even real?!”

“I’m not afraid!” he yelled, passing the bathroom. “Anything there? Come out!”

Nothing happened, boosting his nerve. He ignored the cries, storming forward.

A radio crackled: “No matter who you are… find the truth… watch your back…”

Cody glanced back. Nothing. Just darkness and a faint lamp.

He exhaled, relieved. No jump scare.

The radio hissed again: “Shhh… watch your back… don’t look back…”

Cody froze. Boom! A piercing piano screech.

Lisa’s bloated, one-eyed face—yellow teeth twitching—filled his vision.

Face-to-face. Delayed kill.

Cody’s scream shook the stream.

Everyone disconnected.

Sam Harper’s name was cemented in horror game history. P.T.’s trial was half-done, but its first-time clear rate? Zero. Globally, no player lasted ten minutes without a pod kick.

The scariest game ever.

But Sam aimed higher than terror. P.T. reshaped gaming.

Cody’s X post later said he was fine but voiceless from screaming, taking two days off.

For hardcore players like Pew and reviewers like Lucas Sterling, the nightmare continued. They hunted fragmented clues.

Ninth cycle: lean on the door. Ten seconds, Lisa’s cries behind you. Hold firm, the door opens.

Tenth cycle: red lights, a blood-soaked refrigerator replaces the chandelier, shaking, spilling blood and a girl’s screams.

Eleventh cycle: red-lit walls show “HELLO!” at the corner, “I can hear them calling to me from!” at the door. Walk between them, shifting “HELLO” letters until one “O” remains. It pops, revealing a peephole. Look through: a husband drowns Lisa in the bathtub, yelling “unfaithful, unclean,” slashing her throat, gutting her. The door text completes: “I can hear them calling to me from HELL!”

Twelfth cycle: a blood-red rampage corridor. Players sync with the murderer’s mind, sprinting endlessly. Hellish words appear on walls, Lisa’s gasps and her daughter’s cries echoing.

The bathroom returns. The fetus, now a cold radio voice, speaks.
