November Plots & Plans

The Little Bit:

• 1st Map of the month will be a battelmap that started life as an abstract work
• 2nd Map of the month will be the big 60x60 battlemap in 9 parts (Work in progress snippet in the header)
• There are 6 hamlets on the work list from this month of collecting ideas from you all. 1st one up will be a viking settlement called Dragonthorp. 
• I finally set up a homepage for myself! www.misjaymaps.au 

The Longer Bit:

It is November - at least here in Tasmania it The day started warm and sunny (1 layer weather!) .... and has moved onto cold rain with snow predicted down to 700m tonight. sigh. 

1st map of the month (an abstract work that can possibly be used as a battlement) .... will be out shortly, so I won't say much about it here. 

2nd map of the month (snippet of it in the header image above) should be finished in the next week or so. It has reached the tree stage & will be 60x60 squares, but probably cut up into 20x20 tiles, like I did for the beekeepers forest.  I also plan to add a few ordinary or interesting locations into it: a fountain/shrine on top of a rock in the middle of the river, 2 camps, one with larger tents and one with smaller tents, and an area filled with giant flowers. 

October's ideas for Hamlets submissions are closed.
We have ended up with 6 small settlements on the work list: 

1. From SirLittleDragon: A viking hamlet 
2. From Anstett: A ghost thorp with roaming mimic Werehouses in the forest 
3. From Owen: A frontier fort with a small supporting hamlet on the edge of the wild lands 
4. From Amberlane: A hamlet in 2 eras with 4000 years between 
5. From Brian Meyers: A ruined goblin hamlet in a dark fantasy forest 
6. From PrincessTwinkleToes: Fey forest settlement under a giant glowing tree

I am going to aim for 1 a month at a minimum. First up will be the viking settlement, which I am going to call Dragonthorp ... Will start on it once the big battlemap is released...

Thank you for your ideas, I love all of them & am really looking forward to seeing what they turn into ... 

A new Homepage: This is something that has been on my to do list for quite a while, and now it is done & live & seems to be working... I feel so grown up!
